Fashion Styling

This workshop provides students with essential fashion styling skills, covering everything from understanding body types and color theory to creating cohesive looks for different occasions. Through hands-on practice and guided instruction, students will learn to develop their unique styling vision and apply professional techniques to various styling projects.

What you'll learn
in this workshop

In this workshop, you will gain a foundational understanding of fashion styling, including how to analyze body types and select flattering silhouettes, apply color theory to craft visually balanced outfits, and develop cohesive styling concepts for various occasions. You’ll also learn practical techniques for styling looks tailored to photoshoots, personal clients, and special events.

Introduction to Fashion Styling offers an overview of the stylist’s role across industries, key skills and responsibilities, essential tools, and the foundation for developing your personal styling perspective.

Fashion History & Trend Analysis explores how historical fashion movements shape today’s trends and introduces the basics of trend forecasting—essential knowledge for every aspiring stylist.

Body Types, Fit & Proportions explores how to flatter various body types through the use of proportion, lines, and layering techniques.

Color Theory in Styling covers the fundamentals of color harmony and how to use color combinations effectively to create visually appealing and balanced outfits.

Michael Osbourne is a highly experienced fashion stylist with over 15 years in the industry. He has a strong passion for fashion and film, and excels in garment fitting, wardrobe styling, and costume research.

  • A binder or notebook to keep notes and handouts.
  • Layout pad and pencils.
  • The instructor has been a real treat, and has a knack of bringing out everyone’s creative side and  is able to deal beautifully with all of our varying personalities and make learning fun.
  • Real world instruction. It offers a real look into the world of fashion styling in all of its nuances. So much more than textbook teaching.
