This hands-on digital photography workshop will teach you how to master your DSLR camera, understand key photography principles, and enhance your editing skills with Adobe Lightroom. You'll explore manual settings, lighting techniques, and the differences between RAW and JPEG, all while gaining practical experience through in-class exercises and photo exploration.
By the end of this course, you will be able to confidently operate your DSLR in manual mode, apply essential photography techniques, and organize and retouch your photos using Adobe Lightroom. Please note that you'll need to bring your own DSLR camera with a lens, charger, batteries, and a notepad. All other equipment will be provided.
Understand how to adjust aperture, shutter speed, and ISO for different lighting conditions
Capture high-quality images using manual camera settings
Explore the impact of settings on exposure, depth of field, and motion
Apply principles of composition, such as the rule of thirds and leading lines
Learn how to capture movement and perspective in your photos
Use lighting to create mood and highlight key subjects in your images
Organize and manage your photo library using Lightroom's cataloging features
Retouch images with basic editing tools like exposure adjustment, cropping, and color correction
Understand metadata and archival storage for efficient photo management
