Through focused, practical assignments, you'll build the skills needed to produce accurate 2D drawings and foundational 3D models. Whether you're aiming to enhance your interior design projects or expand your technical drafting abilities, this course provides a solid framework for bringing your ideas to life with precision.

What you'll learn
in this workshop

This course equips students with the practical skills needed to produce professional architectural drawings and basic 3D models using AutoCAD. Through guided exercises and real-world examples, students will gain a working knowledge of digital drafting tailored for interior design applications.

Gain a solid understanding of the interface, navigation tools, and basic commands that form the foundation of AutoCAD drafting.

  • Navigate and customize the AutoCAD workspace

  • Use essential drawing and modification tools

  • Organize work with layers, line types, and object properties

Focus on creating accurate, professional-quality floor plans and interior elevations specific to the needs of interior design.

  • Draft detailed 2D architectural drawings

  • Apply annotation tools for dimensions, text, and hatching

  • Manage drawing layout, scaling, and sheet setup for plotting

Take your drafting skills into three dimensions with an introduction to 3D modeling tools and basic visualization.

  • Create simple 3D forms and extrusions

  • Navigate 3D space and apply visual styles

  • Understand the basics of model presentation and rendering setup

Oscar Espinosa

Oscar Espinosa is an architect and entrepreneur. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture, a master’s degree in architectural design, and a business degree. Balancing the worlds of design and business, he proudly led his firm in Mexico for nine years. Architecture, design, and the stories hidden in the architecture we see everyday are his deepest passions.

During weekends you can find him in the outdoors, hiking, camping, and playing soccer.
