Our Architectural Building Technology Diploma program prepares students for careers in architectural design and construction through a blend of technical training and hands-on experience. Students learn the principles of space planning, construction theory, zoning by law and the role of building codes necessary to complete construction project successfully. The program covers construction drawing, structural systems, and digital modeling using industry-standard tools like AutoCAD and Revit. A capstone project allows them to develop and present full design packages, building a strong portfolio and industry connections along the way.

Analyze client needs and preferences, and safety requirements
Design, draft and prepare architectural working drawings for basic residential and commercial buildings
Prepare presentation drawings and architectural renderings
Draft professional interior construction drawings adhering to industry standards
Demonstrate proficiency in the use of computers and CAD software, including AutoCAD, Revit, VectorWorks, SektchUp and Lumion
Apply an understanding of construction theory and BC Building Code
Completion of high school or equivalent (GED)
Proof of education (transcript, diploma, letters of recognition)
Completed Application Form;
Signature of a parent or guardian is required for students under the age of 19
*Please note that this requirement applies to all students, regardless of citizenship or residency. If the minimum grade requirement is not met, an English proficiency test may be considered as a supplementary document for admission.
