Why study Motion Picture Production at PDA

Our 1 year Motion Picture Production Diploma program offers an immersive journey through the art and craft of filmmaking. Students gain hands-on experience in screenwriting, directing, cinematography, editing, and sound—using industry-standard tools and techniques. Through collaborative projects and portfolio-building, students graduate with the skills and confidence to pursue careers in film, television, and digital media.

Students will learn to

Write for film and television

Operate cameras proficiently and master lighting techniques

Apply sound recording methods and effectively edit dialog

Storyboard and plan shoots

Seamlessly incorporate visual effects into productions

work in the role of director or assistant director for film shoots

Admission Procedures

Completion of high school or equivalent (GED)

Proof of education (transcript, diploma, letters of recognition)

Completed Application Form;

Signature of a parent or guardian is required for students under the age of 19

Non-refundable application fee

Copy of a valid government-issued photo ID or birth certification

Letter of intent detailing background and future goals

English language proficiency requirement. See more details on the Admissions page

*Please note that this requirement applies to all students, regardless of citizenship or residency. If the minimum grade requirement is not met, an English proficiency test may be considered as a supplementary document for admission.
