Pacific Design Academy can assist students with financial assistance help and guidance.
Our team of experienced advisors can guide students through information and direction with scholarships, grants, bursaries, and loans.
The Pacific Design Academy is a designated college with the Private Training Institutions Branch of the BC Ministry of Advanced Education. This allows our students to access any funding options available to them. Any sources of funding available to public colleges are eligible to be used at the Pacific Design Academy.
Students enrolled in diploma programs at the academy are eligible for financial assistance from a number of sources. The Canada Student Loan program offers assistance for eligible students, WorkSafe BC (formerly W.C.B.), Social Services, and Human Resources Canada also offer sponsorship programs.
In addition, a number of bursaries are available for students during the school year. Information is added as new bursaries are announced.
Contact the school or the agency involved for further information.
Tuition and fees differ by program and can be found on our application forms. Domestic and International students have different tuition rates.
Each program also contains a list of estimated costs for additional supplies and books. Students will likely already possess many of the required supplies, and students are advised not to purchase their supplies until after the first week of classes or until discussion with department head and instructors. Some supplies aren’t required until after the first term of study.

PDA is excited to announce that our students in Graphic Media Design, Motion Picture Production, and Professional Photography/Imaging programs are invited to apply for a $1000 award provided by the Victoria Visual Arts Legacy Society.
VVALS was established to encourage innovative and creative visual arts knowledge development and education. The Society will offer a bursary to a student in their final year of study who demonstrates artistic potential, community involvement either inside or outside of the program, and need.
Applications for the bursary are accepted at the beginning of each year, with deadline in early February. Contact your department head for information about how to apply.
CityNest Real Estate Group has generously donated a new bursary to support PDA students with public speaking training through Toastmasters International. “At CityNest, we believe in giving back to our community and supporting the next generation of designers,” said Vincent Baart, Team Lead of CityNest Real Estate Group. “We are thrilled to be able to offer this bursary to students at Pacific Design Academy, and we look forward to seeing the impact it will have on their education and future careers.”
For more information, contact PDA’s academic dean, or Toastmasters using the contact form at riseandshinetoastmasters.com/pages/contact-us.
PDA is incredibly grateful to CityNest for providing our students with this opportunity! Toastmasters meets at our school on Thursday mornings from 7-8:10am, not including holidays.
